Winter can be chilly

One problem with the buzzed-down hairstyle I have been enjoying lo these past months is that it doesn't fit in very well with our currently rather cold bathroom. I prefer to buzz it prior to taking my nice warm shower, I don't want to wear anything since it would get infused with teeny tiny hair segments, and I wet my hair down a bit first to encourage the hair segments to stay together for easier post-cut cleanup. Taken all together, that makes for a brrrr-inducing experience when the temps outside are so lacking in F's. I like to buzz it at least once a week but it is hard to work up the motivation. Still, my headfur feels so transcendently triumphant for the first week, that it is heartbreaking to feel it downgrade to only triumphant after that... so I still force myself to do it.

Oddly enough, the extra-cold weather we've been having has coincided with dormant squash bugs and lady beetles (that must have managed to slip past me in the fall) to become active again. Who knows what that is about. Maybe they were hiding in the heating registers.

The predicted snow accumulation for this area has been significantly buffed up since last night... from "4 to 8" to "12 to 24".

And, on a note unrelated to winter, sorry for screwing up the interests link in the last post... ^_^7

Are there more F's in your bathroom later in the day? Perhaps you need a space heater. I used to have one, but have no idea where it is at the moment. sorry.

Looks like we got about 16" so far, and it's still coming down. Not looking forward to the job that awaits tomorrow.

well, I don't want to delay the shower. It brings awakefulness to my day.

I've often considered getting a heat lamp thingie for other reasons. Maybe I should just do that. I just haven't felt like researching fixtures and so on.
