Well, as I was abandoned by everyone for the entire day, I took the opportunity to reread Catcher in the Rye (seeing as how I am that book, according to the book quiz ;-) ). As with other examples of past required reading, I liked it better now than then. Well, actually, I only liked the last 6 chapters better, since now they hit close to home. So, sadly, I think the book quiz was onto something, though I don't care about 'phonies' that much. Another unfortunate result is that I have Holden Caulfield's voice loaded in my head now. Boy, if there's one thing I hate it is that. I really, really do. ;-)

We got a goodly amount of snow finally, so this may signal the end of the punk-ass winter we have been having. It pretty much let up at about the time I finished the book, so I went out and shoveled up to the parking areas. I decided to leave off at that point since I've been kind of feeling a cold or something coming on during the course of the day. We should be able to get the rest with the snowthrower tomorrow.

On the way back to the house I flopped down and made a snow angel. The stars were out and, as I lay there, I could see orion beautifully. Snow was still falling, very lightly, at that moment, and the flakes were lit up by a light on the back of the house. So I laid there for a while, watching the stars and the snow spinning down. I have to admit that was completely fabulous.

Oh, and it appears that another group will be doing Twin Spica fansubbing. I haven't searched about to see what the story is there, but they appear to be picking up where the other group left off, and have two new eps out already (though one needs to be reissued)! Yush! The Twin Spicas were coming out soooo slowly, so this will be great.

Well, I just nuked a can's worth of soup, so I must away. Since I am still left by my lonesome, I also need to figure out what I want to do for rest of the evening. I definitely need to keep my brain occupied since it seems hellbent on my destruction, so it will prolly be more reading or perhaps a game.

It turned out to be its own reward in this case, since I didn't realize how wonderful the view would be from down there until I got there. ;-)
